Alas, poor Yorick

Crocheted skull on top of sofa | beth.b.co.uk Once upon a midnight dreary, I came across this and thought; “Ermahgerd that’s amazing. I MUST MAKE THIS.” Unfortunately, my discovery coincided with my decision to stop making things for the hell of it. Sir Skull, therefore, lurked in my bookmarks bar until an occasion warranted his existence. That occasion has thankfully come about and this boney bastard is now a birthday present for a friend.

The pattern itself is a bit of a challenge. Some parts aren’t always clear. Increases and decreases are also shown in a funny way that I haven’t seen before. However, Sir Skull is a fun gent to make plus there’s a lot of attention to detail. For example, each tooth is crocheted individually with different instructions for molars, incisors etc.

If you’re a fan of the macabre or The Trap Door, get ya hooks out. Crocheted skull, side view | beth.b.co.uk Crocheted skull | beth.b.co.uk
